This ”Made in Japan” SOLIGOR lens is in SUPER Nice condition and has been stored safely in a padded camera bag, with both caps, when not in use. (Actually spent most of it’s time stored and Unused!)This 135mm ‘Portrait’ Lens works with Exakta Mount Cameras, and takes Sharp pictures. The wide f:2.8 aperture is nice & bright, and produces lovely ‘BOKEH’ for portraits! While 135mm Lenses are often referred to as ‘portrait’ lenses, they’re also great for nature shots, landscapes, architecture, and for general use. Note this has a sturdy metal mount; and the glass is Multi-Coated to provide superior optics without glare. Comes with original ‘Soligor’ Front AND Rear Lens caps as shown.
Also included is a matched 1.8x VIVITAR TELECONVERTER! The teleconverter can be used with ALL EXAKTA Mount lenses, and increases the focal length of all lenses by 1.8 times. When coupled with this 135mm lens, the lens shoots like a 243mm lens! (135 x 1.8) The teleconverter will also work with zoom lenses, making (for example) your 28-70mm lens act like a 50-126mm, or your 50mm lens shoot like a 90mm, etc.
A nice feature of teleconverters is that the focusing distance of your lenses remains the same! So, your 135mm that focuses at 5’ becomes a 243mm that focuses down to the same 5’; great for macro shots! The trade off is that you do ‘lose’ a little light when you attach a teleconverter - this 1.8x teleconverter will “use up” about 2 stops of light, so your 50mm 1.8 lens acts more like a 90mm f:4.0. This is true of all teleconverters - if you have any questions, let me know.
Condition Notes: The only things to note are a tiny mark on the front glass - I couldn’t get it to show in any pics, and it’s minor... maybe 1mm and it does NOT affect photos at all. If you shoot directly into the light, it might how as a faint dot, but again, I couldn’t get it to show. (& shooting directly into a light isn’t recommended!) The other issue is a small ‘dent’ in the filter ring. I’m SURE it can be pushed out, but I didn’t want to ‘hide’ anything, so this is being offered ‘as is’ with the small dent. (I’ve used a wooden dowel to remove similar ‘dents’ w/success)
