 Preset Programmable Polyphonic Synthesizer!

This is very rare and cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1983 Roland JX-3P Synthesizer. The "3P" in its name refers to "Programmable Preset Polyphonic". It is notable as one of the company's first products  to incorporate a MIDI interface.

The JX-3P is a six-note polyphonic, 61 key synthesizer with sawtooth, 50 and 10% pulse waveforms, and a noise generator. It has 32 factory programs in ROM, and user memory for 32 programs.

The JX-3P also features a built-in 128-step polyphonic sequencer that can be synchronized to external devices, such as drum machines, connected to its simple clock pulse input jack.

The JX-3P shares the same great analog filters and VCAs as the JUNO and even the JUPITER series. Just like the JUNO, it’s a six voice polyphonic feeding digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) through analog filters, envelopes and amps. However, the JX-3P has two oscillators per voice instead of the single osc.

The JX-3P is a great vintage synth capable of creating some lush, classic analog sounds. It has been used by The Future Sound of London, Astral Projection, Vince Clarke, Orbital, Luke Vibert, Stevie Nicks, Asian Dub Foundation, and Thomas Dolby.

Our Synth Tech did a Service on this unit. Everything is functioning and working correctly!
