ART DECO STERLING SILVER & GUILLOCHE ENAMEL POWDER COMPACT CIRCA 1920

Description

 On offer is this fine art deco powder compact dating circa 1920 and measuring approx. 4.8cms in diameter. The compact is made of plain sterling silver with hinged inset lid in blue guilloche enamel with white guilloche enamel border with silver stars. The compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal the original convex mirror under the lid. The deep powder well is gilded and retains a small swans down puff with green silk backing.

There is a partial English hallmark to the base and i can't find any other marks. The case has no dents or dings and the guilloche enamel lid has no chips or cracks. The mirror is the original convex one but is cloudy and the reflection is not too clear. Thank you for looking.
