We are "NEW DAWN UK ANIMAL WELFARE" a non-profit organization with the aim to help and support animal rescues in the UK, but also in Southern Spain & Portugal where rescues are overcrowded, many due to Brits returning to the UK but not taking their pet/s back with them. They are abandoned, left to their own devices.

Also, we are involved in saving dogs on death row in pounds/rescues all over the UK. In the UK and Ireland, tens of thousands of dogs are EUTHANISED every year.

Pounds are only required to hold a dog for SEVEN DAYS and on the EIGHTH DAY are entitled to destroy them if they are not reclaimed by their owners or taken by rescues. Many people believe it is only aggressive, ill and injured dogs that are put to sleep, but it is not!

HEALTHY dogs are killed every day, simply due to a lack of homes.

Most rescues and pound kennels are full or even overcrowded and there is no kennel space for strays and abandoned dogs when they come in. Then those dogs who have spent their seven days at the kennels will be put to sleep to make space for new arrivals. To save their lives these dogs have to be moved to emergency boarding until kennel space with a rescue with a non-destruct policy becomes available.
