This is an OEM Unit made by Alpine of Japan and the Manufacturers Part number is RD1BJ83A. This Unit was used in a wide Variety of cars built from 1999 through 2006 including E38 E39 and E53 Body Style BMWs. It will also fit Range Rover L322 Models built from 2003 through 2006. You must do your due diligence, compare part numbers, and make sure that this Unit satisfies your needs. There are no returns if you purchase the wrong item. ONE CAVEAT - YOUR BMW MUST BE WIRED FOR NAVIGATION OR ELSE DO NOT BUY. The Trim is flawless with not even a scratch. The White Lettering is Very Legible and is unfaded. The only Cosmetic issue with this Unit is that the Rubberized Coating on the Knobs is somewhat worn. This Unit was Fully tested in the Donor Car pictures of which are shown in the Listing. Everything worked Perfectly. The AM FM Radio worked, the Navigation worked. The Motor which moves the Screen in and out works fine. HOWEVER THERE IS ONE ISSUE REGARDING THE SCREEN - THERE ARE DEAD SPOTS AT THE CENTER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. The Bench Test as shown makes that quite evident. You are Guaranteed satisfaction.
