The helical focus is smooth and firm, being fully coupled to the rangefinder image in the centre of the viewfinder…superb image is clear, perfectly aligned and accurate.
The fast F/2.9,80mm BALTAR lens is clear and bright, no fungus-scratches etc., and has a clean iris stopping down to F/22.
The renowned PRONTOR-SVS shutter fires crisply on all the speeds from 1 second to 1/300th, and there is a smooth running 10 second delayed action...this late design shutter also features optional 'EV' settings which couple the speeds and apertures ( turn on/off by tiny lever).
Nice condition overall with just light signs of use and strangely labelled 'Baldix' although it is definitely a 'SUPER BALDAX' !!!!…please study the photo’s.
When loading a film, wind to number ‘1’ using the red window then close the cover. Move the little lever by the viewfinder to the right and turn the film knob anti-clockwise and you will see that the counter goes back to number’ 1’
.After the first exposure wind the film on until it locks and then turn the knob anti-clockwise until it stops and so on...fully interlocked wind-on and shutter release prevents double exposures!!
