This is a brand new replacement mast for the Volvo 440, 460, saloon 480 coupe models. The five telescopic sections are chrome and the tip is black. Overall extended length is 84 cm (33 inches), and when fitted the exposed length is about 78 cm (30.5 inches) from the aerial top nut to the tip. It is supplied complete with a new contact-spring sleeve-retaining ferule and drive cable. The tip of the aerial is black and ‘can’ shaped with two small recessed slots. Fitting instructions are supplied and it can normally be fitted in a few minutes, from outside the vehicle, without dismantling the aerial or interior trim.

It fits the 440,460 and 480 still fitted with the Volvo original equipment electric power aerial mounted on the rear wing. It is equivalent to the Volvo part number 3344099 Antenna Rod (which is the all black version) and has a Volvo list price of over £25.00.

If your mast is broken, not fully retracting, sticking, bent has stripped teeth, noisy or suffering poor radio reception this is probably what you need.

This mast replaces the aerial/mast fitted as original equipment from the factory. On older vehicles, please compare the photograph and description to the aerial mast on your vehicle, to ensure the aerial has not already been replaced with an aftermarket aerial.
