The two puzzles are printed on opposite sides of the same pieces.

When you pick up a piece you are never really sure which puzzle piece you are looking at -
the picture which is face up - or the picture which is face down.
In other words, in effect, you have 1000 pieces but you are only using 500 of them.
The trick is to figure out which 500.
Then, when you are done, you can take it apart and do the other side.

And it is a great family project puzzle.
As an added bonus
The back of the box is printed, as shown, with historical information as a conversation starter.

Because "Fun" and "Learning"
do not have to be mutually exclusive.

Once completed, the puzzle measures 15" x 22".
