A tall off-white Art Deco porcelain lamp with a signed Davart NY base
In an even delicate color - it is glossy and picking up reflections in my pictures
The form showing a strong Asian influence with an elongated ovoid and a thin delicate neck
It measures 24 inches  to the top of the socket assembly
The pottery and base to the stem measures 14.5 inches
The base measures 5 inches in diameter on the bottom
The shade (not included) is meant to sit on top of the socket assembly
Very good vintage condition - the double socket assembly is original - the actual sockets have been replaced and rewired. The black painted metal base shows wear and chipping to the paint - still attractive and the organic leaf shapes are unusual

Davart was a high-end manufacturer of electric lamps in the 1930s and 1940s in New York City. They worked with pottery and porcelain parts supplied by a number of different manufacturers, most frequently with Lenox china Co of Trenton, NJ, whose lead designer created parts specifically for use in Davart lamps. I opened it to see the mark - that is pictured.
