***Attention Mid Century "Atomic" Radio Collectors***

Offered today in this auction for the Holiday Season is this stunning Red & Ivory color plastic "Atomic" age M-862 c-1957. This set is exhibiting attractive slanted front mid century retro modern! Well known as the Iconic "Leave it to Beaver Radio" This similar radio was a prop that showed up many times in the late 50s and early 60s Leave it to Beaver Sit-Com! Outstanding original 5 tube for a near 60 year old vintage in and out. The cabinet has a gleaming original finish and will display and play as a centerpiece in any atomic collection with pride. Very few if any real marks here and there mostly on the bottom and even there it is minimal for its age.The only flaw worth mentioning is the outer rim of each plastic knob is chipped. These are easy to find here on eBay if you find the need to replace them!

The chassis components and all original tubes are intact!! The inner components are like new condition, only one cap was replaced that i could see. This was the only component that is a modern update. Every other cap and resistor was checked and spot on specs, this chassis and components are 99% original factory.

These originals only come along a few times in this condition now-days and are rare finds indeed! These atomic age radios from the 50s & 60s were not built to be repaired they were "throw aways" if they needed repair. This is part of the reason they are so scarce, especially this model in working condition. Obviously this set was well cared for over its long life. Real cool large "Atomic" Dial that is illuminated! This set has a 5 tube sparkling clean ac/dc chassis! AM band only and all functions working as designed. Featuring phono input jack for use with external vintage turntable.

The power cord is original red color with NO age stiffness and safe for use with strong mellow TUBE sound. The back is solid with factory info inside the case and with all original factory hardware. If you value total original vintage "MID CENTURY MODERN" radios, this one is for you! A Deco mid 50s hard to find "Iconic" Radio. Fully bench tested and awaiting a new home or office!
