UP FOR AUCTION:
A
fancy brass hanging oil library lamp ceiling extension. The
extension is the early Miller version, patent 1888 and 1889, used for library hanging lamps.
Has a ceiling cap, innards, spring, bobble stops, and chain. Retractor in
excellent condition. The brass with age patina and dirty inside. The suspension appears to be in original
working condition. Extension and retraction work fine,
and I got about 2 feet out of the chains and then it got very tight, still a little chain left inside. The thin
top cap has some waviness and splits on the piercing.
