Up for auction is a beautiful letter cover from a Danish prisoner named Olaf Ludwig Johansen in the concentration camp in Stutthof Danzig Germany and was sent to Sigmund Johansen in Magdeburg, Denmark. Note the stamp was removed by camp censors looking for hidden messages.


Stutthoff was opened immediately after Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939 and remained in operation until the war ended on May 6, 1945.

Priced to sell. Postmarked September 9, 1944.
