This is the Alpha Lutz Edition 5+2 Port Competition .21 Engine. Alpha Plus and Ryan Lutz have teamed up to produce "The Lutz Edition" Alpha Plus Engine. Based off the popular A852 model from Alpha Plus, the Lutz Edition has performance and cosmetic tweaks that give it a one of a kind look and feel. This engine is sure to grab attention at the track, whether it's sitting in your vehicle in the pits, or screaming down the straight at nearly 40,000 RPM. The proven 5+2 Port design provides plenty of power on both top and bottom end and is a perfect choice for those looking for a smooth truggy engine or those that like a strong bottom end pull in an 1/8th Buggy.

The first thing you notice is the signature hot pink cooling head that is guaranteed to make you and your vehicle stand out on the track. The engine head itself is a low CG design with 2 fins that wrap around the top of the crankcase to provide better cooling, and a lower Center of Gravity. As you work your way down the crankcase you'll find additional machine work has been performed to further reduce weight. This engine is very light and is well suited to drivers that are geared towards weight savings on their cars. Also not to be missed on the crankcase is a Ryan Lutz signature, detailing his representation for the product. Moving towards the carburetor you'll find a super smooth throttle slide equipped with a redesigned low speed needle that provides a smooth linear feel. Also as standard on Alpha Engines, there is a 12-hour dial around the low speed needle so you can easily keep track of the needle position and your mechanic will always know how far to turn the needle when you tell him to make a 2 or 3 hour adjustment. Just below the high speed needle you find more cutouts for decreased weight and better cooling of the carb. Plus, the Ryan Lutz Edition engines now come with a re-designed head button and a tuned crankshaft for improved performance and runtime.
