NOT BEING EXPERTS IN THE POCKET WATCH FIELD, THIS ONE IS SOMEWHAT OF A MYSTERY TO US. WE'VE RESEARCHED A BIT AND HERE IS WHAT WE'VE COME UP WITH - YOU WILL HAVE TO BE THE EXPERT ON THIS.
HERE WE HAVE AN ANTIQUE VERGE FUSEE STYLE POCKET WATCH. NO KEY CAME ALONG WITH IT BUT WE ATTEMPTED TO WIND IT WITH ONE OF OUR KEYS AND IT SEEMS TO BE WOUND TIGHT AND WILL NOT RUN. THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A "NON RUNNING" WATCH. IT IS A CHAIN DRIVEN UNIT AND THE CHAIN LOOKS TO BE IN PLACE AND IN GOOD CONDITION. AS SHOWN, MOVEMENT IS MARKED WHAT TO ME (NO EXPERT FOR SURE) "GRAYAM" ??? AS WELL AS "LONDON 880 8". HAS GENUINE DIAMOND "JEWELING" AS SHOWN IN LAST PHOTO.
BOTH THE OUTER CASE AS WELL AS THE MAIN CASE AND CRYSTAL ARE IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND DON'T SEE ANY DENTS IN EITHER CASE. I DO NOTE THAT THE CRYSTAL HAS SOME INNER CHIPPING NEAR THE "IX" (9 ROMAN NUMERAL). CRYSTAL IS "DOMED" WITH AN APPROX. 13.4 MM DIAMETER CONVEX DIMPLE IN THE CENTER WHICH I BELIEVE IS VISIBLE IN PHOTOS. ALL HINGES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE.
