I'll give this saddle 4 stars because it seemed to be of nice quality for the price. The knee rolls and seat were very soft leather, though the skirt panels were very stiff. I never got to ride in mine and sent it back right away because it did not fit my horse. I ordered a wide tree and this was the most narrow wide tree I've ever seen. I'd call it a medium at best. The billets are also very short, order a girth at least one size or maybe two sizes longer than you'd normally need.

The magnificent saddle, is executed from a quality leather. Soft skin on a forward pillow. Firm and wearproof skin on wings. Very high-quality execution of a saddle.

I have been riding for almost forty years and have been a saddle shop owner, and have never thought that I would find a good saddle at this price level-I was wrong. This saddle is very comfortable, and secure. It has a lot of comfort in the seat, and just enough padding in the knee rolls to be secure, but not obtrusive. It has very thick billet straps, but they improve with wear....hang in there! I noticed that the billet strap attachment to the saddle tree was MUCH sturdier than my expensive saddle, European made. The saddle keeps you in a nice position, but not so much that you feel "stuck". I will be riding in this saddle (which was supposed to be my "extra"), a lot more than my European made saddle. The color is very brown, not so much chestnut, though it says it was made with Australian leather....maybe that's why. The fit and comfort makes all the difference, not the color! Order the regular tree if you have a slim backed horse like a small Arab, or thin Thoroughbred. I ordered the "wide" tree for my Thoroughbred because he's muscled up in the last few months. The wide tree is really more like a medium wide. I hope this helps new buyers!

Returns / Exchange Policy

We adhere to a fifteen (15) day return or exchange policy for all qualifying merchandise. The merchandise must be in its original, unused condition, with all of the original tags and packaging to qualify for a refund. For a complete list of qualifications please read below as some items may not qualify.

If you would like to make an exchange or return, you will need to contact us within fifteen (15) business days of receiving your order. Failure to do so will void your right to a refund or exchange. Items without the original tags and packaging may only be exchanged upon approval or returned for conditional store credit only.

To exchange or return an item, the customer MUST obtain a return authorization number (RA#) through a form correctly filled out & submitted. This form is located on the home page under Returns Policy. Tack Wholesale reserves the right to refuse any package without a return authorization number, and no exchange or refund will be given at that time. This is for security reasons and business operation purposes.

We believe in customer satisfaction and provide quality goods to our customers. We retain the right to decline any refund if we feel the return policy is being abused by a customer.

 

Canceled Orders

An order may be canceled; only before the package has shipped out. Once an order has been shipped out it cannot be canceled. Customers may contact us to return the package at their cost with a return authorization request if they no longer not need the order.

 

Non deliverable address

Packages must be shipped to correct and valid addresses only. For all packages shipped out by us with an incorrect or non deliverable address provided by the customers, and returned to us, a return postage fee will apply. This fee is the customer's responsibility. A re-shipping fee will also apply to reship the package. If the returned order is canceled by the customer, a refund will be issued minus the postage both ways.

 

Return Authorization

To obtain your return authorization number (RA#) and return address, please click here to fill out the form and someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible. This may take 24 to 48 business hours. RA # cannot be issued over the phone or via email. They must be only obtained through the form at the bottom of the page.

Before returning or exchanging any merchandise, please be sure to note the following items:

  1. All items should be returned unused using the original packaging. If this is not possible, please include as much of the original packaging as possible.  

  2. ALL shipping costs must be paid by the customer. In case of returns for orders with free shipping promotion, shipping charges will be deducted from the refund issued. In case of an exchange, shipping charges are to be paid by the customer only. Tack Wholesale will not ship any exchange free of cost.

  3. Your return authorization number (RA#) issued by us must be written on the outside package where it is clearly visible. We do not accept any returned package at our PO Box address, and our correct return address for the warehousevwill be provided during the initial contact with the returns and exchanges department. Tack Wholesale reserves the right to refuse any package without a return authorization number (RA#) visible on the package.  

  4. Please review the terms and conditions before sending any merchandise to us.  

  5. All authorized returns must be received by us within fourteen (14) business days of the initial contact with returns and exchanges department, after which no returns will be authorized.

All returns are subject to approval by the Tack Wholesale staff prior to a refund being given or an exchange being made. If returned items are found to be unacceptable, the item will be refused or a restocking fee applied.

Horse fluids, such as urine and sweat, are highly acidic. Any suede leather item that comes in contact with such fluids will bleed and is not covered by any warranty.  Tack Wholesale is not responsible for such incidents, and the items are not returnable.

All English saddles can and will lose their dye due to rub marks from the stirrup leathers. These marks are completely normal. No returns or exchanges can be given on English saddles on this basis. because this type of wear is deemed normal.

The cutoff date for all returns purchased as Christmas gifts is December 31st 2016. We must be contacted by December 31st 2016 for a return or exchange for any unused item purchased as a Christmas gift for the Holidays, after which absolutely no return / exchange will be authorized. If there are any questions about the return and exchange policy, please feel free to contact us.

 

Terms and Conditions

All merchandise returned and found to be used may be destroyed and no refund or exchange is issued. All merchandise without its original packing or tags can be charged with a 20% restocking fee or subject to store credit only.

* 2 year limited tree warranty on certain English and Western saddles only covers regular use of the product. It does not cover damage resulting from commercial use, misuse, accident, modification or alteration to hardware or software, tampering, or improper maintenance.

There are no returns on close out or scratch and dent items. All items in these categories or labeled as such cannot be returned and are not warranted.

Return Policy on Horse Blankets / Sheets

 No returns / exchanges on any Horse Clothing. 

  • Due to reasons of hygiene, and also due to the fact that some horses are known to be extremely rough on their blankets, while other horses will get years of use out of their blanket. - horse blankets & sheets are not guaranteed against ripping & tearing,  Blanket straps & buckles do break under certain stress points & are not guaranteed against any breakage.  

  • Most tears & rips may be repaired easily at your local repair shop. 

  • Horse clothing is therefore are not returnable 

  • In the event the wrong size has been ordered; horse clothing that has made contact with a horse is a health and sanitation risk to other customers as well as our employees. All items must be completely new an unused. Any horse clothing that has been tried on, even if for a brief moment cannot be returned. All clothing is inspected and if any evidence of wear is found the blanket may be destroyed with no refund. This includes but may not be limited to blankets, sheets, fly mask, grooming items, and coolers.

Tackwholesale is not responsible for any horse clothing that is torn and destroyed once it has been out of the bag & on the horse. Any returned horse clothing will be destroyed.

English & Western Boots: There will be a $15.00 restocking fee for all Western boots and any English boots returned for a refund. There will be a $20.00 restocking fee for all drop shipped boots from Abilene, Smoky Mountain, Tuffrider, Dan Post, Old West, or Ferrini. Original Boot Box must be returned UNmarked and UNdamaged. Additionally a $5.00 charge will be issued for any marked boxes; or boxes that can't be used. Any drop ship boots returned to Tack Wholesale instead of the supplier will be charged the shipping cost for forwarding them on to the manufacture.

Riding Boots: Can be tried on, on the carpet and can be returned for an exchange or refund. Used boots with mud or wrinkles are destroyed and no refund will be issued. Any damage to the boot box will incur a 20 percent restocking fee. The manufacture holds the right to determine the condition of the boots on all drop ship items.

Saddles and Harness Sets: All saddles will have a $50.00 restocking fee. All harness sets returned for a refund will have a $20 restocking fee applied to the refund. Other items purchased through our website returned without packing materials and tags will be charged a 20% restocking fee. You can return items for a store credit and the restocking fee will be waived.

 

Grooming Items

Horse grooming items cannot be returned once the packaging has been opened. Any grooming items that have been used are a health and sanitation risk for other customers and our employees and therefore un returnable.

Hay bags and Hay Nets:

Hay bags, hay nets, and feed bags have no warranty unless specifically stated. Any damaged or destroyed hay bags, feed bags, or hay nets will not be replaced or refunded. Some horses can use the same hay bag for years while others are too rough on them. Some horses may also need trained on how to eat from hay bags. Any hay bag that has had contact with hay, grain, or a horse cannot be returned. Any hay bag, hay net, or feed bag that is found to be used will be destroyed and no refund, store credit, or exchange will be issued.


Free Shipping

All items purchased with free shipping will be shipped the most economical method. Delivery date with free shipping order is not guaranteed. Any item purchased with free shipping that is returned will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee & in case of an exchange the buyer is responsible for exchange shipping charges. Free shipping will not be provided for any exchanges.  Shipping charges are not refundable once the items have been shipped and for all refused packages.

 

Warranties

Unless specifically stated items do not have warranties. Hay bags, feed bags, and horse clothing have no warranty unless specifically stated. No refund, exchange, or store credit is guaranteed for these items unless stated on that item regardless of situation. All items with warranties must be registered with the appropriate company to qualify. If not registered the warranty will not be applied and any refund, replacement, or store credit will be void. If a warranty has a deadline no refund, replacement, or store credit will be issued past this date.
