The LC2 was designed by Lancia to race in the Sport-Prototype category, according to the Group C regulations. It raced for the first time in 1983.
Designed by Dallara, it was powered by a Ferrari engine, whose heads had been evolved from those of the 288 GTO; the electronic control unit was highly sophisticated and ahead of its time. The engine itself was a 90° 3 litres liquid-cooled V8, with two turbochargers, working at a maximum pressure of 3 bars; four valves per cylinder were driven by double over head camshaft. Overall the maximum power was 840 hp at 7000 rpm. Gearbox was a 5 gears Hewland unit, and rims were 15” front and 17” rear.
Chassis was made of aluminium and magnesium while body was carbon fibre composite. The overall weight was 850 kg. Lancia LC2s were as quick as Porsches, in terms of pure speed, but lacked reliability. Lancia raced LC2 cars ex-works throughout 1986; later, and until 1991, it was raced by privateers only.
In 1986, LC2 cars sponsored by Martini competed the World Sportscar Championship with race numbers 4 and 5. In Monza, car n.4, driven by Andrea de Cesaris and Alessandro Nannini, finished the 1000 km race in second place.

Most items are shipped via United States Postal Service or FedEx. We do offer local pick-up. All items must be shipped on our shipper ID. We cannot use other accounts. All international shipments are United States Postal Service by default. You can also sometimes save on shipping by going direct to our website as it has a real time shipping calculator.

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon delivery. Your shipping charge includes only the cost of shipping to you. Charges to clear your customs office for taxes and other charges are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges are beyond our control and vary by country.

Order processing:
Orders are shipped daily, Monday through Friday. We do not ship on Weekends or National Holidays. Once payments are verified, items are typically shipped within one business days if you have a deadline please email or message us. Orders paid by PayPal and e-Checks are only shipped to the confirmed address, no exceptions. If address is unconfirmed, payment will be refunded and auction cancelled.
Insurance:
All items are insured. If your item is damaged in shipment, we will work with you to remedy the situation with shipping carriers.
Order tracking:
You will receive an order confirmation with a tracking number once the item ships. The status of the order may be tracked on courier website. Tracking is not available for Military APO/FPO shipments or First Class Postal Shipments
Military shipments:
We ship all items to APO/FPO addresses via US Postal Service Priority Mail. Please allow up to 2-4 weeks for delivery. Tracking for these shipments is not available.
Payment and Sales Tax:
All items must be paid within 1 day. If you bid on the item in error, just contact us and we can cancel the purchase. All payments must be made in US Currency.
State law requires that we charge sales tax on all orders shipped to the states of Texas at 8.25%.
We accept PayPal payments. If your PayPal account is linked to a checking or other banking account, payment may be considered an e-check. PayPal e-checks will not be shipped until PayPal provides verification of payment. This requires 3-5 business days from the date that checkout is completed. All shipments, no exceptions will only be shipped to the confirmed address with PayPal. If not confirmed, payment will be refunded, and auction cancelled.
Return Policies
Your satisfaction is important to us. If for any reason, you are not happy with your item, it may be returned within 15 days of receiving the item. The item must be received in the same condition as it was sold and include all accessories, if applicable. Items cannot be returned in a used state. Buyer is responsible for cost of shipping back to us for refund. Refunded amount is only the auction price, shipping is not refunded. Please just message us first so we can determine which method should be used.
Return Guidelines:
- The BUYER is responsible for return shipping costs, duties and taxes.
- Refund will be issued on the product price (and applicable sales tax) only. Original shipping is not refundable.
- Items must be received in the same condition as they were sold and must include all inserts, accessories, if applicable.
- All items will be inspected prior to refund being issued.
- Refunds will be issued within 3 days of receipt of the item.
Issues with shipment
Each item that is shipped is insured. If you received a damaged item please contact customer service as soon as possible and we will work with you to rectify the situation to your satisfaction. If the item you received was not the item that you ordered, please contact us through Ebay Message Service. We will determine which steps will need to be taken.
