LOVE ME TENDER is one of several compilations that emphasize the romantic side of the King.

From the very beginning, Elvis had a soft side that was immediately visible. After all, his first recording was a song for his mother, done in a make-your-own-record booth before he ever turned pro. Even his most frenetic Sun sides bumped up against contemporaneous tender ballads.

LOVE ME TENDER keeps it short and sweet, presenting some of the songs that made Presley a heartthrob as well as a rock & roll hero. "Love Me Tender" and others all feature the smooth, sensual vocal style that Presley would spread like honey over any romantic ballad lucky enough to cross his path.
