Allium 'Gladiator' has large round purple flowerheads, up to 15cm across, in early summer. The foliage, which dies back before the flowers appear is mid-green, narrow and strap-like. The upright stems and round flowerheads add interest to any planting scheme and the dried seedheads can be left on the stems for continued interest all through summer. Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil.
