This listing is for a pair of French 19th century romantic hand colored steel engravings showing Woman of the Arts surrounded by a cohort of helping cherubs. The women are engaged in writing and painting and are surrounded by items of beauty. 
The engravings are framed in deep octagon gilt frames and are finely matted. They measure 16 inches in diameter. These date to 1850-1870 period. They are in fine condition. The gilt frames are worn at the top edges showing the rouge beneath. They are a very romantic pair highlighting the accomplishments of women in the arts.

Please see many photos for more on the look and condition as they are an important part of the description. Please note the glare and or white spots you see in some of the photos is camera glare caused by the protective glass. There are no white spots, etc, on the engravings.
