Neve 33609 N Stereo Compressor

The Neve 33609/N Stereo Compressor offers comprehensive limiting and compression facilities for music recording, mastering, post production and broadcast applications. The combination of hand-wired transformers and gain reduction circuitry produces a sound quality which is often duplicated, yet seldom achieved by any other compressor / limiter. Coupled with the unit’s unparalleled ease of use, this inimitable sound quality has made the 33609 a worldwide studio standard for three decades.

The hallmark 33609 compression sound is very smooth, and extreme settings may be used with the compression or limiting remaining relatively transparent. After several versions of this classic Neve compressor over the years, today's 33609 provides the best of both worlds: original Neve 33609 sound, with enhanced internal and external I/O switching compared to the original model. The 33609 also utilises a discrete output stage like the original model, for a slightly warmer sound that is preferred by many professionals over previous iterations. Multiple units can be easily linked for multi-channel operation.

The 33609 features independent sidechains for the compressor and limiter sections, with similarly independent threshold, recovery and attack controls. The compressor features a selection of ratios from 1.5:1 to 6:1 and a gain make-up control that comes before the limiter. Overall gain reduction is indicated on a moving coil meter.

Much like our classic 1073 and 1081 microphone preamplifiers, the 33609 Stereo Compressor is often cited as a "desert island" compressor - one which a healthy sampling of the world’s top engineers and producers would choose above all others.

SHIPPING POLICY
All Orders Ship Via FedEx All of our items ship via FedEx. On checkout, it may look like you are selecting a UPS shipping method, but the item will be shipped via the equivalent FedEx method.

Signature Required In order to protect your shipment from theft, we require a direct signature when delivered. An email will be sent upon shipment so you can check delivery dates with the tracking number provided. Please make certain someone is available to receive your package or shipping charges may incur after three delivery attempts. Once shipped, packages cannot be re-routed.

New items ship within 24-48 business hours of your order unless notified otherwise. Used item delivery times vary depending upon the item. Do not hesitate to call customer service at 1.888.653.1184 or 1.248.591.9276, and press 2, Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm EST with any questions relating to delivery times.

Import Duties and Tax Since import taxes and/or duties that your government might impose on products shipped from the United States may apply, you (the customer), are solely responsible for shipping charges, taxes, and duties, once goods arrive in your country.

Restrictions Due to manufacturer restrictions, certain brands can not be shipped outside of the United States. Please call us to find out if the item(s) you are interested in can be shipped internationally. We can ship to any locations that use a US Postal ZIP Code such as US Military addresses, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands, etc.

Undeliverable/Rejected Packages If your package was rejected by your local Customs Bureau or the shipment could not be delivered and was returned to Vintage King Audio for any reason, we are not responsible for the shipping costs.

Damaged Packages If your package is damaged, you MUST contact Customer Service within 48 hours from delivery. Customer Service hours are Monday through Friday from 10AM to 6 PM Eastern Time. Call 1.888.653.1184, and press 2. If outside the United States please call 1.248.591.9276.

Please be aware that pro audio is susceptible to damage during transit. We take great care to prevent damage from occurring and pack shipments so that they will arrive safely. Be sure to retain the original packing materials, original receipt and all merchandise tags for any item that you wish to return to us.

If an item arrives damaged, make certain you examine all boxes before acceptance. The delivering agent MUST note damage to any cartons on the release form or refuse acceptance. Notify us immediately so that we may work with you to arrange and expedite an insurance claim. Vintage King is not responsible for any denied shipping claims.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RETURNS
We do our best to help you choose the perfect gear, but if you don’t love it in the first 30 days after receipt, please contact customer service for a return authorization.

YOU CAN AVOID RESTOCKING FEES
Help us sustain our “EASY RETURN” return policy. To reserve your right to return the gear within 30 days, please observe these steps upon receipt of item(s):

  1. Keep all packaging in like-new condition. Open packaging gently and carefully.
    • Use a razor blade or scissors to carefully open any sealed packaging.
    • Take note of how components are packed.
  2. Keep all items in new condition unless 100% sure you're keeping the gear.
    • Avoid scuffs and scratches in handling and rack mounting.
    • We recommend rack mounting only after you’re certain you’re keeping the gear.
    • If rack mounting, use plastic washers and beware of metal rack screws’ tendency to scratch rack-mount holes.
  3. Include everything that came with your purchase. If equipment or accessories are damaged or missing, a re-stocking fee will apply upon return.

Domestic Returns
  1. Contact Vintage King to obtain a Return Authorization (RA).
  2. Place a copy of the RA inside the package of the items for return.
  3. Write RA number anywhere on your airbill, not on the box or packaging.
  4. Returns must be complete including accessories and documentation with original packaging.
  5. You are responsible for return shipping costs including shipping insurance which is recommended to protect your items, as you are liable for items damaged during return shipment. Remember you own it until we receive it.
  6. Obtain a tracking number to provide proof of your return before the end of the 30-day grace period in order to avoid a re-stocking fee.
  7. Products like software, computers, computer hardware, hard drives, tape, ribbon mics, personal items (such as headphones, etc), oversize or overweight items, and special order items are not returnable.
  8. Shipping and insurance costs are non-refundable.
  9. We will inspect your return once it’s received. If you have met the above conditions and the items are all in like-new condition, you will get your choice of a full refund or credit on account.
  10. If any of the above conditions are not met, Vintage King reserves the right to charge a fee equal to our costs to return the item to like-new condition.
International Returns

Cancellation Policy
In-stock items normally ship within 24-48 hours after an order has been placed. We will accept cancellation of your order for items that have not shipped or that are on backorder. Once the items are shipped, no cancellation will be accepted, but you may return the goods to Vintage King for a refund. However, you will be responsible for all shipping costs to you and return shipping costs to Vintage King. Up to a 20% restocking fee may apply to opened items. Used and vintage items are subject to a 5% processing fee if cancelled before delivery.

Restocking Fee A 20% restocking fee may apply to all returned purchases. Used, Vintage and Demo items are subject to a 5% processing fee if cancelled before delivery. Return freight costs paid by customer.

TAXES
Vintage King collects sales tax for shipments to California, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee and Massachusetts. Partial and complete tax exemptions may be available in each of these four states. Contact us directly for details.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Most products will carry Vintage King's limited warranty that such products are free from defects in material and workmanship and will conform to published specifications, provided the products are used according to such specifications. Vintage King disclaims all warranties, express or implied, written or oral, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In some cases, items are sold without warranty. Those items will be posted as such.

In no event shall Vintage King be liable to the buyer for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special and/or exemplary damages in connection with the products sold to the buyer, regardless of whether such damages arise out of the negligence or other fault of Vintage King and regardless of whether such damages are based on tort, contract, strict liability or any other cause of action and whether such damage resulted from: (1) reliance on the materials presented; (2) loss of use, data or profits; (3) delays or business interruptions; and (4) any theory of liability arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of information whether or not Vintage King has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In the event of any claim by you, Vintage King shall be limited to replacement of the products that are the subject of such claim, or, if circumstances would cause this remedy to fail of its essential purpose, refund of the cost of such products to the buyer, in either event upon return of any such products. By purchasing products from Vintage King, the buyer acknowledges that replacement or refund are the buyer's sole and exclusive remedies.

The documentation and/or related graphics published by Vintage King could include technical inaccuracies, obsolete issues or typographical errors. Vintage King assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the information or other documents which are referenced by or linked to its website.

CHOICE OF LAW
This Agreement has been executed and delivered in the State of Michigan and shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.
