Three (3) wall hangings of Sanxing, deities also known as the three stars, and as Fu (prosperity), Lu (status), and Shou (longevity).  They are supposed to be displayed in a certain order, which I didn't know when I took the pictures.  Some interesting history available on them.  Apparently a small offering such as a small glass of water, an orange, or other offerings are placed in front of statues of these gods, especially during the Chinese New Year.

Each measures about 5 3/4 inches wide by 15 1/4 inches tall and are 1/4 inch thick.   The backgrounds are a deep dark red and black.  Two of them have a mountain peak in the background, the other has leafy bushes.  The wall hangings all have an Asian deity plus children and/or little people portrayed with them, some of these either have unusual hats or sort of long pointed ears! The people and a few other small decorations are depicted in mother of pearl applied to the boards (it is not inlaid).  Some small areas of the MOP have a yellow cast.

The lacquer does show some age with bitsy vertical striations noticeable when the light is shining at the right angle plus there are some little scratches and tiny nicks on the surface.  None horrible but just noted so perfection is not expected.

Each has a small triangular piece attached to the back so these are ready to hang.  Thank you and enjoy!
