This is an absolutely gorgeous rare piece.  The curved end has slots that appear they were for helping on angles to make them level.  The brass cover plate is just beautiful.  Over the main level is a copper cover plate that appears to be put in place by hand.  Not sure if this was done by the manufacturer or whether it was fixed a very long time ago.  Either way, this is just an incredible piece.  I have not been able find any information regarding this piece, so hopefully this is as special of a piece as it looks.
