This is CD No. 15 (a number also to be found on the John Mayall CD) from the Orbis 'Blues Collection', a comprehensive Part-Works release, two issues each month, which started in 1993 and ran for 2/3 years, covering a very wide range of the greatest blues performers from the early 1920s to the 1990s. The complete set numbers 1 to 90 with two un-numbered Christmas issues.
However, please be aware that - for reasons best known to themselves - Orbis issued several of these CDs with the same title but a different position in the numbering system, mostly affecting some in the first 20 in the series. Some issues have 3 different numbers in the sequence! If you're collecting the series, double-check that the number you're buying relates to the title/artist that you want.
NB At the time of writing I also have several sets of the magazines that accompanied the CDs in the series. If you're missing a particular issue, let me know!
MY CD GRADINGS EXPLAINED
NEW: Unplayed. Be aware that CDs are very often issued in the UK without a sealed outer casing. The case will be unscratched and undamaged.
AS NEW: Looks unplayed or has been little played. Case as above.
EXCELLENT: Looks little played and has been treated with care. The case may display signs of handling and will be undamaged.
VERY GOOD: The CD plays perfectly but may show light evidence of handling. The case may have surface marks but no structural damage.
GOOD: The CD plays perfectly but the disc surface may be marked. The case may have handling marks, scratches and light cracks.
