~ Vintage Sheaffer OVERSIZE Balance Fountain Pen ~ 14K Gold Nib

"Autograph" model with solid 14K Gold Trim

- Working & Beautiful nice fat Pen - Dated between 1931-34 by the 3rd style pocket clip (still with the full ball end) Sheaffer's Balance Oversize Pen, White Dot Pen ~ Autograph , with solid 14K gold Pocket clip & Wider than usual cap band, The autograph on the cap band is D.J. Moody (Pretty cool name I think!) , the pen is 6 & 3/8" posted & just over 5 & 1/2" Capped, the cap is just under 5/8 diameter, Other than some general use & light wear (you could polish is desired), I can see no problems, no warp, no cracks, no teethmarks, very straight pen, cap threads on securely & posts very well, Lever & filling mechanism work perfectly, The pen came to me restored, The filler is robust & will squirt water across the sink... :-)
- it is ready to fill & write. . Great fine point nib, impressive large 2 tone 14K LIFETIME Nib as shown ( w/ serial #) - the pen writes a nice wet line, medium point, with excellent iridium tipping. Very smooth on Rhodia paper as shown, not bad on cheap copy paper..
- The Barrel has a clear "W.A. SHEAFFER PEN Co." imprint -3 lines
