This is the 'Power of Stormhold' pendant, worn by the star maiden Yvaine (Claire Danes in the film) and the King of Stormhold (played by Peter O' Toole). On it's upward arc, the pendant struck a star. The star was knocked from its orbit and plummeted to the earth, landing in the form of a beautiful woman named Yvaine. From her neck hung The Power of Stormhold. And so began an epic chase for the pendant, the girl, her heart (literally), and the future of Stormhold.
The pendant is carved with the Boar and Eagle - the symbols of the Stormhold Coat of Arms - and capped with the royal crown of Stormhold. But the most impressive piece of the pendant is the magical stone set in the center. A moonstone-white crystal, large and brilliant as a star.
