Description:
This 200 + yr old hand colored copperplate engraving was published in London, England, UK in 1812 . It is from "Elements of Botany" Volume 1 by the famous English botanist Dr. Robert J. Thornton, M.D. Plate size is 5.2" x 9+". Volume 1 is about the classification of plants. Plate is blank verso. Printed on thin, cream colored pulp paper. There is aging to the edges. Most of my plates from this work have foxing so please check scan for specific faults.
