The TomTom Rider dedicated holder locks around the base of the TomTom Rider giving it the maximum protection while in the holder. There is access to the charging point in the base of the mount, where the charging cable can be attached. The back of the holder has the UltimateAddons patented 3 prong attachment system, this allows the holder to be attached and locked onto an UltimateAddons mounting attachment.
This professional motorcycle attachment will allow you to attach UltimateAddons TomTom Rider dedicated holder to the motorcycle. This attachment will attach to your motorcycle handlebars secured by 2 screws and can be used on a variety of handle bars with diameter ranging from approximately 19-35mm. This attachment is on a ball mount enabling it to be fully rotated and tilted to the desired view.
The cable is simple to set up, the black and red connectors attach to the battery, then run the cable / switch box to a suitable location. The cable includes an inline fuse.
From there you can connect the Right Angled Mini USB charge cable (or various other cables available to buy separately), and then connect it to the device. The cable is connected via a waterproof connector and is easy to remove. Illustrative Diagram below;
This Right Angled Connector cable connects to the Hardwire Battery Cable via a watertight connection. The cable is approx 50cm long. The end connector is a right angled Mini USB which is now an industry standard for many mobile phones, MP3's, MP4's, Sat Nav's, Ereaders and many more consumer gadgets. Right-angled for easier installation to connect cables in tight spaces and has less strain on the connector.
Please note that this cable will only Charge TomTom Rider Pro and TomTom Rider Urban models. The earlier models will not charge via Mini USB connector.
