Up for auction is the crowning piece of a collection of 40's and 50's Mobil Gas banners I have been selling.  It is very large and in nearly mint condition measuring 59.5 inches long by 38 inches tall.  The material is almost like a heavy Crepe de Chine, different than the usual satin used in banners - heavier and with a real quality feel about it.  

The banner is nearly mint except for a very small dirt mark in the white below the hoof (see photos) and a water spot on the red in the middle of the horse.  I have not had it dry cleaned, but these marks may come out with a cleaning.  They are very minor.  The colors are vibrant and rich as you will see in the photos.

It has it's original tag from the Tabery Co., Hill St, Los Angeles.
