working vintage (antique) over 100 year old pen ,a collectible pen and a very usable a Writing Tool also :-) It is ready to fill with ink & write :-) it is crack & warp free - no personal names, an attractive pen overall I feel..., the factory imprint on the side is clear w/ 1906 & 1909 patent dates, as is the model number (12) on the end.
The black areas of the pen has fade to a dark gray brown with 'tan' lines from the cap- The cap shows fade also. The cap is a perfectly crack and chip free antique hard rubber eyedropper cap with a perfect cap lip -is a slip/taper fit, the cap fits on & posts securely as it should - No warp

Very nice "CLIP-CAP" pocket clip - clip has tight rivets and is a very sturdy & functional pocket clip.

6 & 13/16" posted & 5 & 5/16" capped -

The nib has a tiny vent crack on the right side of the heart vent (see photo #6), I have put the nib through its paces (with in reason) and the nib stays well aligned and is a pleasure to write with "CANADA" IDEAL #2 Nib, 14K , Graceful tines , Super Easy flex - Nice smooth Broad point or STUB Like point, with Excellent Iridium tipping :-) , There are some people who would call this nib a wet noodle, very nice line variation,for longevity of the nib I would stay @ 1.7 & below, for a nice nib life of flexing pleasure, if you have a very light hand you will still have control for every day fine point writing. but you most likely will find your self flexing with out trying. When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with light to medium pressure, it has a nice easy soft feel. it will provide excellent line variation & expression. NOT a nib for a beginner in flexing, Some experience is recommended before using this nib.

Deep channel feed = very good ink flow (some inks will perform better than others)

the writing sample shown was made by actually filling the pen with an eyedropper and writing with it. - the section threads are perfect, but I put a little silicone on the threads any way

Great for doodling , sketching , or expressive letter writing :-) copperplate / Spencerian.

The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue , & Diamine Monaco Red.

The pen is 5 & 5/16" capped, and 6 & 13/16" posted. Fits my hand well when posted.
