Personal Memoirs Of Ulysses S. Grant Leather Print 1885
I am offering an Antique Original 1st Edition of "Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant" written by Ulysses S. Grant; published in 1885 by Charles L. Webster & Co. bound in full morocco leather with marbled end papers and outside edges and gold gilt title on spine. Although written while Grant had throat cancer and he passed away before signing the book, the book shows his signature printed from a letter he had written. Includes a detailed history of the Civil War as told by Major General Grant. All pages intact, with several steel-engravings and illustrations including 4-fold facsimile of General Buckner's dispatch relating to "Terms of Capitulation", General Grant's reply and General Buckner's answer accepting the terms for the surrender of Fort Donelson. The book is in good condition but the leather binding shows wear on the spine edges with one side loose. Please email me any questions you may have.
