Up for sale is an IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X200 in good condition, with only minor wear one would expect from ownership of half of a year. This laptop lived most of its life on a desk, occasionally being moved to other rooms and brought once or twice to meetings. There are no gashes or deep scratches on the body. The RAM has been upgraded to 4GB of DDR3. The LCD screen has been upgrade to a Boe-Hydis AFFS LCD screen, which offers improved viewing angles, color gamut, and contrast over a traditional Twisted-Neumatic (TN) LCD screen. The AFFS LCD screen is based on IPS technology, a popular choice in the photo and video industry. The cost of the parts to perform this upgrade was around $100.
The 6-cell battery is in good condition at only 28 charge cycles and lasts the same amount of time it did when I bought the computer. Ubuntu Linux 10.10 will be installed on the hard drive. The keyboard, mouse, and audio all perform as expected, as does the charger. Here are some additional pictures: |
