Pete Townshend has donated his black Dr. Marten leather, Chelsea ankle boots to the Small Steps Project Celebrity Shoe Auction. 

Pete Townshend is a legendary English guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and author best known as the guitarist of The Who.

Pete writes, “These Doctor Martin hi-top boots were purchased  by me ten years ago, maybe earlier, and worn at many Who shows between 1996 and the present day. There are several photographs of me wearing them on stage, some which will ne passed to the noble bidder….I will have to buy, and wear in a a brand new pair of boots. Bloomin’ charities…”

Pete has not signed the boots but has provided a letter of authentication instead. We are sorry for the mistake in the title. We can get these boots signed by Pete but it will extend dispatch time. This is the only pair of Men's celebrity shoes where the celebrity has chosen to provide a letter instead of signing the shoes.
