This Fender Telecaster guitar has been generously donated by Radiohead to raise funds for Billie Butterfly Fund.

The guitar was owned and used by Ed O'Brien and was the main guitar he used on the seminal Radiohead album Kid A and the following album Amnesiac.

The guitar is signed by all five members of Radiohead – Ed O'Brien, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway – and comes with a handwritten authenticity note from Ed O'Brien, which reads...

To whoever ends up with this Tele...

It was bought in the summer of '98, just prior to us going into record the albums which came out as Kid A and Amnesiac. It was pretty much the only guitar I used at that time. It's also been gigged a lot, up until and including the In Rainbows tour.

Hope you enjoy it - all the best

Ed O'Brien

Further authentication is available if required.

The guitar comes with a new case, and can be collected by the winning bidder from Exeter (UK) or delivered by courier within 48 hours of payment (cost should be less than £10 to UK mainland). Will ship internationally, but obviously cost will be higher.

About Billie Butterfly Fund...

Until the beginning of July 2011, Billie Bainbridge was like any other 4-year old child, full of life and looking forward to starting school in Exeter in September.

Then without warning she was diagnosed with an inoperable form of brain stem cancer. There is no known cure for Billie’s type of cancer. As if this wasn’t bad enough Billie’s Mum, Terri, has breast cancer.

A Trust has been established in Billie’s name and a website and fundraising campaign set up by friends of Billie and her family to raise funds for her treatment in America. Any money that is not used by the trust towards her treatment will go directly to research into child brain cancer.

This guitar was generously donated by Ed O'Brien of Radiohead to raise funds for the Billie Butterfly Fund in association with The Joseph Foote Trust.
It is a charity auction and 100% of the proceeds will go to the fund and help a beautiful little girl.

It's also a one-off opportunity to own a unique piece of rock history from a seminal group and album/s.

Huge thanks to Ed O'Brien and the rest of Radiohead for donating the guitar to the fund.
