Demeter FOD-1 Overdriveulator Fat Overdrive. This amazing pedal is one of the earliest of the initial run (#76), signed by James Demeter himself in 2006, and also features a sporty finish via Wilkins guitar finishes...only the first 100 did. These have retailed for $379, and now, in a weaker economy retail at $289! Here is your chance to get a great deal on one heck of a pedal. The pedal works perfectly, is true bypass, operates via 9v battery or with an adaptor, and has velcro on the bottom plate for easy placement onto your pedalboard...or you can remove it easily. The finish is in good condition, with the usual wear you would expect from a 6 year old pedal that was gigged. Check out the great reviews for the FOD-1 online, and then check the prices of the used ones, and you will realize you have a chance to score here. I am only selling because I am layed off on June 30. This is one of the few overdrives that I have purchased multiple copies of during my 20 years of playing...I have played just about every name OD or boost out there, and this one is rather remarkable because it really becomes an extension of your fingers...if you can play, the FOD-1 will show what you can do, if you can't..it will force you to practice. The controls are, from left to right: Fat (boost), Gain, Volume, Tone. The red led indicates the overdrive itself is on, click on the other switch and the Fat (Boost) is engaged (blue led). The boost is capable of up to 12db. Trust me, any more than that is rather impractical because your volume spike would be HUGE, and amateurs don't do that on stage, right? LOL. Toggle on side switches between germanium transistors which offer a slightly less strident, warmer tone that really responds to the nuance of the player. The down toggle is the silicon side of the affair, which is louder and has a very tight bottom end with a slight louder, more modern feel...both sides of the toggle are great. You can also run the boost on its own, or into the overdrive, or just the overdrive alone...so, it is obviously pretty versatile. There are a ton of sweet spots on this baby- in fact, it is hard to get a bad sound. The opening on the side accesses the adjustment for the boost- you can select your level. I hate to sell this one, but I have to go for cheaper gear and sell the really good stuff...this being one example. Thanks for looking.
