Look what i found in the shed! ive had this bike around 30 years and to be honest i forgot i had it hence the sad condition. Its a mk8 itom 50cc 4 speed supersports, the most collectable of the italian fifty supersports bikes available at the time. This would date from 1966/67/68 i cant honestly remember. The vast majority of these bikes were converted into racebikes and having ridden one years ago understood why..i think i clocked 82mph behind a friends car and it was great fun.So what have we got..well the frame, swinging arm, tank, seat, mudguards and forks are all basically sound and an easy restoration. The forks, springs etc were rechromed 30 years ago and have suffered a bit but are ok.They have the original clip ons and levers fitted. Also there are a brand new pair of 1.2 x36 hole rims in 17".The guards were new at the time but have suffered. There are two engines, one a 4 speed road engine that looks complete, one a 4 speed race engine that looks complete no piston. Both these engines will require full rebuilds,i have not attempted to do anything with them. Both have suffered from corrosion but are rebuildable. The race engine has no kickstarter, race cylinder, factory sidecover machined for a rev counter, rare factory tophat type head and a dellorto 22mm carb with it.You also have spare covers, some very, very rough hubs including a rare double sided 140mm hub. There is a complete set of rusty ish race rear sprockets along with rough toolboxes, shocks, chain guard etc.in fact look at the pics..what you see is what you get. There is certainly enough to make a very nice bike but you are going to need to source a few bits.I stress again, all these parts are for full restoration and you choose which parts are servicable.I have certainly restored alot worse. Now its out the shed its going to go..a shame as i adore these little beauties but if you dont rebuild a bike in thirty years...Ive seen restored mk8s at over 5k so feel that this should be a cheap enough project that rewards your time and effort  with a cracking bike and a nice little investment.Anyother parts i find will be included in the sale.i do have brochures, pamphlets, manual, tune up articles etc that will be incuded.Id love this to go to a good home where it will be restored to former glory and i cant stress again how much fun they are.Google itom mk8 and see just what a pretty bike they are.Any questions il try to answer honestly.uk buyer preferred,im just to busy to mess about shipping and crating though if you wish to make your own arrangements then fine.Cheers.
