There’s something different about the Pompino this time around, the drawing board has been dusted off and revisions made. Taking the lead from the Kaffenback, seat angles have been steepened, nudging you a bit more forward and making things more aggressive overall. The rear has been smoothed out with a dual seat stay in place of the wishbone of old, and the rear canti hanger removed in favour of classic lines.

The 120mm track standard rear spacing remains, as does the 42mm chainline for that tight, sharp handling feel. Brake-wise the canti remains king, although a mini-v set-up will serve you equally as well.

Aside from being a proper workhorse when called upon, the longevity of the Pomp is down to its ability to put a smile on your face with the bare minimum of fuss, be that through singlespeed ‘cross, fixed wheel commuting or stripped back, bare bones touring.
