DESCRIPTION:

Johnson/Evinrude/OMC/Gale Dual (2) Lever Ship-Master (same as Evinrude Simplex and Gale Bosun) Remote Control Box, P/N: 278434, 378390, and 381371. This is a like new condition, smooth working control box ready to accept your standard pre-1979 (fits 1950 & up) Type 400 throttle and shift control cables.. Light-duty aftermarket plastic replacement boxes are retailing for $159.95 and do not hold a candle to the original rugged cast aluminum Johnson factory box sold here. OMC Dealers, West Marine, and eBay all have cables for this box. Cable installation instructions included.

APPLICATION:

Johnson/Evinrude/Gale Outboards --- all pre-1979

Box accepts pre-1979 Type 400 control cables (standard cables from 1950 thru 1978), OMC Long Life, Teleflex Type 400, Morse Type OS, Acco Type OMTS, and NW Controls 0 style

CONDITION:

Repowered boat take-out box that was barely used. Nothing to hide - look at the 7 pictures, including the inside! Operates smooth as new. From a fresh water boat so outside and inside are corrosion free, clean, no sand, no caked on grease, no spider nests, no broken parts, no parts needing repair. Repainted with matching  OMC silver/gray paint. Reconditioned mechanically - complete with all cable clamps, screws, cable guides, and often missing trunnion caps are included in box.  Idle stop knob and throttle friction screw are there and fully functional. Everything is here - just install your cables and fasten box to your boat.
