‘Myrto’ - Felixstowe Clayton Skiff

 

Myrto is a 22ft fibreglass '4 oar plus cox' rowing skiff - she is in excellent condition having been

maintained to a high standard during the years we have owned her.  

 There are 2 sets of oars – I set  are as new ‘Collars’ oars and 1 set that were relegated to 'spares' when we purchased the new ones a short while ago.  She has removable glassfibre non slip floor panels (zero maintenance), a fitted bilge pump, heavy duty rowlocks, oar holders for transport, ropes and everything you need to use the boat. Also included is a purpose built galvanized trailer that is in very good condition (having purchased it new only 4 years ago) which makes transporting the boat easy and stress free.

As can be seen in some of the pictures Myrto is a very strong and exceptionally seaworthy boat, which has been used for tidal estuary and coastal rowing for both pleasure and competition. She has competed in the Thames based 'Great River Race' on several occasions, the annual 'Paddle and Oar' pageant in Manningtree, and was part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant in 2012 of which we are extremely proud. Sadly it's time for Myrto to be sold, and for someone else to enjoy the same pleasures that we have enjoyed whilst rowing her - whether just for pleasure on a quiet Sunny morning, or in competition against a hoard of other boats!
