These fabulously cool mantique binoculars are a very nice example of late Victorian outdoor pursuit equipment complete with an in-built compass. Hound in stitched leather with the words 'Le Sport, Paris' engraved onto each barrel, these binoculars are in fully working order. 
The name 'Le Sport' may refer to the manufacturer or it may refer to a business who distributed them but these are certainly high quality, crystal clear French binoculars which look superb despite a few scuffs to the leather and a couple of ripples in the metal around the lens (see photo).
