Breathtaking Sleeping Beauty! This stunning doll is one of the most outstanding dolls created by Alexander Doll Company; manufactured in 1959 only, she is 16 1/2 inches tall. Using the Elise body & a gorgeous head/face made from a mold used only for Sleeping Beauty, her release was perfect timing, too...as the original Disney film was also released in 1959.
Aurora is wearing her crisply tagged original slipper satin ball gown, trimmed in gold; the waist & leg o'mutton sleeves are trimmed to match. The underside of her V-neck collar is lined with the same lace as her cape. Closure of her gown is at the back with four square snaps. There are two faint water stains on the gown skirt near the left side; they fall beautifully within the large folds of the gown, and could easily be cleaned if the buyer wishes. Aurora's cape is exquisite, made with sparkling gold lace & finished with a gold tie (a little gold missing where it had previously been tied) at the top should you desire to tie the cape around her neck. Both gown & cape are in outstanding condition. Her original taffeta panties are perfect & she wears her original hosiery. A new slip has been made for her in the style of the original. Her original glimmering gold & rhinestone-studded crown is in outstanding condition, as are her original shoes (which needed only a slight tightening of the elastic.) The original rhinestone necklace is around her neck, and her original "sparkler" on her finger.

Aurora is simply stunning. Her coloring is angelic; she had only a small repair to her blush. Her flaxen blonde wig is gorgeous with curls resting on her shoulders. She has a beautiful body, free from any defects with no splits, cracks or odors.
She will come to you with a very pretty newly-made hang tag.
