Up for consideration is a single Undertone Audio MPEQ-1 MASTERING EDITION channel Strip (2 units total available), a modern recreation of the classic console channel, designed by noted producer Eric Valentine and Larry Jasper, ported over from from their custom Undertone Audio console for use by regular mortals. This is a custom Mastering Edition, where the gain adjust on all 4 EQ bands are set to +/-6dB for increased resolution. This is a fantastic all-rounder mic pre in the spirit of the vintage American Flickinger and Langevin consoles, but now with 70 dB of gain. These can be used for strings, ac. / el. guitars, drums, vocals -- anything and everything. New, these MPEQ-1 channel strips are selling at VK for $2,495 each, so here is a great opportunity to own a Mastering Edition pair in mint condition -- still under warranty -- and save about $1k!!!

CLASSIC CONSOLE SOUND
MPEQ-1's have a great vintage character and tone reminiscent of classic USA consoles such as Flickinger and Langevin. The feature set is unmatched, including a special 30 ohm input setting for classic transformerless dynamic mics, such as Altec 633A and 632C. Output is transformer-coupled for color, or transformerless for the utmost clarity. The EQ is like none other, and can replicate pretty much the behavior of any famous EQ.
