A beautiful Brussels mixed lace runner with 8 Point de Gaze roses and a large number of double layer leaves. The runner is about 45.5" x 17.5".
These double layer leaves are new to me; all of the elongated heart shaped leaves are constructed like that. The second layer resembles an applique attached only at the ends. To show what it looks like, I took a picture with two little mother of pearl spoons lifting two leaf "appliques". The lace surrounds a thin cotton interior. Thin, but somewhat thicker than batiste. As for the color, I'd call it very light cream. CONDITION OF RUNNER: Excellent.
