A very rare 1979 Austin Allegro 1300 Super Estate Mk2

It was bought by my Dad on the 25th Feb 1984 and has been in the family ever since. It has been stored in his garage from 2005 and hasn't been driven since.

The car was our main form of transport for many years but as the family got older the car became unused but my Dad somehow found it very hard to let it go. As time past it rarely left the garage and from 2005 it sat in the garage almost forgotten about.

My Dad now feels it's time for it to go and hopefully someone will take pride in restoring it to it's past glory.

The car had to have a new engine fitted in the early 90s but even so has only done around 90k miles. I believe the new engine has done around 30k miles. As the engine hasn't been used in over a decade it hasn't been started due to the concern of damaging the engine.

The body colour is sandglow orange which is all original with brown velour upholstery.

The car has air suspension but needs pumping up as overtime it has dropped.

The chassis seems to be rust free but a closer inspection is recommended.

Over the rear wheel arch you will find rust and some along the bottom of the drivers door.

As you can see from one of the pictures it also comes with a few spare parts that can be hard to get hold of.

The rear drums are seized on so it can't be towed away so a trailer will be needed.

If someone has the time and money it would make a great restoration project as these cars are very rare.

Any question please get in touch. Thanks for looking.
