eBay
Selling my 1970 Triumph T100S Tiger.  The engine is a 1969 model, engine # is EC18488T100S, the frame is a 1970 # ED49554T100S.

I have owned this bike since 2006 and have thoroughly enjoy riding it.  I want to start distance touring, and as I only have space and time for one motorcycle, it's time to find my Triumph a new home.

In 2016 after riding over 10,000 miles I had the engine overhauled by Tony's Cycle, one of Canada's top Triumph mechanics.   This included replacing valve guides, new valve seats, valves polished, sludge trap cleaned out, bearings replaced, crank polished, new pistons and rings, and new condensors and points.  I also had a LED brake light system installed, which is essential for safe riding at night or in rain.

After the above work, the motorcycle is running beautifully, with lots of compression and easily starts and idles.  In May 2017 I ran the http://www.ganaraska250.ca/ with this bike, and it was great fun, over 500 miles round trip with the Triumph running great.

The machine has original points ignition, with easy starting and never a backfire or hiccup.  I replaced the Amal carb with a brand new and correct Amal model in 2014 due to the old carb causing a low idle stall, the new carb made a huge improvement in idle and overall running.  Front and rear brakes work nicely, I replaced all shoes about 5,000 miles ago.  Everything seems to work; high and low beam headlight, parking light, LED brake light, horn, choke and high beam warning light.   The gas tank is rust free (I always keep it full with 91 octane), air filter on carb is new and cables lubricated.

I had the tank and fenders stripped and painted metallic purple at Painters Edge http://www.edgecoatings.com/ in 2014.  The paint's in good shape overall.  There is some fuel staining around the filler cap base (barely visible when cap closed) and a scratch on the front fender that I have touched up with the original paint.  If I was keeping the bike I would have the forks, headlight ears, oil tank and tool cover repainted a gloss or matte black, but other than that, the paint's pretty sharp.

I took a video this morning of a cold start and brief run.  She sounds great, starts in one or two kicks with little or no choke, gear changes are solid.
