IBM ThinkPad T20 Laptop & Accessories

Includes additional battery, Wi-Fi Card, PCMCIA LAN Card, DVD-ROM Drive, Power Adapter, 40GB HDD

As you can see in the photo above, the unit is well presented.  The trackpoint "nipple" (red bit on the keyboard!) is new.  The red areas on the screen are to block out the serial number etc.  There is a small area of the screen with a mark that I show in more detail below.

Accessories are shown in the photo above.  Top left is the DVD ROM drive, to its right the wi-fi card (802.11b), in the top right the power adapter and UK plug.

Bottom left is the 2nd battery - this goes into the machine in the ultrabay area where the DVD drive sits (you can only have one at a time).  To the right of this is the main battery, to its right is the PCMCIA LAN network card.  Regarding the battery life - see details below.

In the photo above you can see the unit with the lid closed.  The lid is slightly marked as you can see.

I always aim to give a very honest assessment of anything I'm selling.  In the photo above I have tried to show two marks on the screen.  The first is highlighted in the red square - this feels like something small on the screen - it may be possible to clean off, I don't know, I just tried some screen clean and it didn't move.  The second area is in the pink rectangle - you can see what looks like a white right angle in bottom right and top left - some sort of ghosting style mark on the screen I believe, it's really not very off putting etc when using it.  Note - the block in blue is just me hiding the serial number - no problem there.

Here's the full details:

Spec:

* Type: 2647-81G
* Pentium III, 700 MHz
* 256MB RAM (2 x 128MB)
* Keyboard: UK (with new “nipple”)
* CoA: Windows 2000 Professional
* BIOS: 1.22
* Embedded Controller: 1.06
* CMOS Battery is good, no prompts to input the date/time.

What’s Included?

* The ThinkPad (of course!)

* UK power adaptor and wall plug (in photos above).

* Main battery (inside the machine, shown in the photos above).  As a rough indication of battery life I powered the machine on to the boot menu with just this battery, I kept it on with the screen dimmed but on and it lasted 1hr and 5 minutes....see the results from the ultrabay battery too....

* Additional ultrabay battery - shown in the photos above. I performed the same test as carried out with the main battery.  This ultrabay battery lasted 1hr and 7 minutes.

* DVD-ROM/CD-ROM Drive

* Wi-fi card (PCMCIA, 802.11b)

* LAN Card (PCMCIA)

* 40GB Hard drive - Not that this has been securely scrubbed.  NO OPERATING SYSTEM INCLUDED - although as noted above the machine has a Windows 2000 Professional COA sticker.  You could simply install Ubuntu for free - send me a message before the auction ends if you need more info on this.

What’s NOT Included?

* A minor thing - the screw to the HDD cover isn't included, but I really wouldn't think this is an issue. It's not needed to keep the drive in place.
