Because of several request I made this Angle Mount that is more universal. This will allow you to angle your GPS up to about 70 degrees. The mount is also 1 inch longer than our straight windshield mounts so it gives more room from the base to swivel.

This is custom ball mount that will work with the Garmin GPS that use the 17MM (.670) diameter ball. I have also included a stainless machine screw, stainless washer, and two rubber washers for mounting. All you need to do is drill a 1/4” hole. In my case I drilled a hole through the windshield because I have a radio mounted in the way.

Don’t have a Garmin? On e-bay you can buy the Garmin cradle that will fit this ball. Just modify and attach to back of your existing mount.

With a little imagination you could mount this almost anywhere on all kinds of vehicles.

One customer came up with the idea of mounting ball using the hole where the mirror was on his Ultra after moving mirrors to his fairing.

This is machined from aircraft quality aluminum and buffed to almost chrome like finish.

The tapped hole is 1/4-20 thread and could make bigger to attach to any size stud or screw. We tapped one to a 5/16-18 thread to screw on to the dash board of a Harley Road King just by removing the nut below the speedometer.

I have found that on some aftermarket cradles it is hard to snap together until it gets used a few times.

A safety lanyard can be attached to the GPS to protect it if it ever falls out of the cradle. I loop a rubber band around the neck of the ball and then around the GPS unit and seems to work well. This is a safety precaution only, I have not had or heard of one falling off.
