GARDEN RAILROAD LAYOUT --LOCATION MADISON, WI

Since spring is finally here and if you are thinking of building or adding on to a live steam or garden elevated layout and you need a decent start, then this may be the ticket.    This layout has been completely disassembled (orginally in IL) and is ready for transport to your location.

All the construction elements are here for you take except the track and the engines and cars running on it.  The pictures show the construction method,  the materials and the pvc piping and flanges for support. This layout was about 400 ft so you can build your own layout of at least that size if desired. The deck surface is hardie board--most in good to very good condition.  The layout, of course, is sold in as is condition.  The original layout had female pvc connectors in ground to complete the structure.  I do not have those but easily purchased if you wish to install the same way. If not, you can use deck blocks, etc  The PVC is 4"nominal.  If you calculate the material costs for everything, it significantly exceeds my listing price so here's your chance to get your layout started and  built!  Do you own bill and materials (eg: the hardie board by itself was over $400) and figure it out and you'll quickly see that this is a great deal even with the transportation costs.

Although just for local pickup, I have all of it now stored inside my garage in my open 6 x 9 open trailer. So, transfer to your trailer would not be a huge problem but you will likely need a bigger trailer or truck to get everything you want.  I will provide a picture of how it's stored but my wife wants that space empty! Help!

So, if you tired of running your locomotives on the ground--and, believe me, you eventually will--then this layout gives you the potential to save your back,  your knees and your hard earned dollars.  I will help you get this in your trailer or truck.  I still have a decent sized Gauge 1 live steam layout, and I been in the hobby for 23yrs plus.  If you want to talk garden railroading and live steaming, I've done both for a long time.  Bring your gauge 1 live steamer and we'll run on my layout!  I'll supply some WI beer too!

Any other questions, please email.  If possible, winner should make arrangements to pick up within 2 weeks of purchase--thanks!
