Up for your bidding pleasure is this Faux Ivory D  Hart 1831 Comet Scrimshaw.  It has a sailing ship on one side and the two flags with 1831 between the flags and The Comet written under the flags.

 I don't know anything about this piece.  My husband purchased it and it's been in our possession for about 30 years or so.  It is a beautiful piece and quite heavy. It measures almost 5" in length.
