Cardio-Rider Gravity Training System

This exercise machine is in great used condition. Just a little dusty. This is not a bike, the pedals do not spin.

This cardio machine is sort of like a simulation of riding a horse. Great workout, gently used. Works all the muscles: abs, legs, everything. Training system allows you to use your own body weight as resistance to tone your upper body, core and lower body. Provides a way for you to strengthen your muscles at home, as well as burn calories.

The Voit Gravity Rider is an exercise machine that requires you to pull and push levers with your arms while you sit on a bicycle-like seat. You can get a variety of health benefits from a Gravity Rider, depending on the pace at which you use it and duration of your workouts.

The seat is wide and padded, and the handle-bars are padded as well.  Both the seat and the bars are adjustable.  It folds up for storage (see picture). Please note that the last 2 pictures are not mine. I found them on the internet to give you a better look of what the machine looks like.

There is a  Timer / Calories / Distance Counter on the machine.  However, it does not have batteries in it, so I cannot say if it works or not.

    Using the Machine

  1. Sit on the seat so that your rear is flat on the seat with your foot on the foot pedals.
  2. Reach forward and grab the handlebars with an overhand grip.
  3. Lean forward slightly and push down evenly with both of your feet onto the foot pedals.
  4. Pull on the handlebars utilising the muscles in your back and arms to pull your body toward the handlebars. The simultaneous pushing of feet and pulling with the bars will elevate your body to a more upright position while your body gets near the handlebars.
  5. Relax your muscles once your body is a few inches away from the handlebars. Allow your body to slowly return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat the simultaneous push and pull with the relaxation. Start off slowly, and warm-up at this slow pace for 5 to 10 minutes. Increase your speed after this and continue with your desired pace until you have completed your workout. Finish with a 5 to 10-minute cool down prior to completion to ensure that blood is properly redistributed throughout the body.
