This week is “Wedding Week”. I am selling off some of the best wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and party dresses from my personal collection and also those of two of my friends. I have everything from full length 1930s silk bias cut numbers to 80s glitzy shoulder padded pieces. Whether your style is elegant or dramatic, simple or all out I have something for you! I have every style under the sun from hippy to rockabilly for the pin-up and showgirl and also for the Victoriana fans. There are some of the best British ready-to-wear designers I could lay my hands on in this sale, with pieces purchased from Harrods, Dickins and Jones and Marshall and Snelgrove by brands such as Bill Gibb, Susan Small and Lee Delman.

Whilst I still ship internationally I have had to up my prices considerably because I was loosing so much money on sending overseas. Please note, to send to the States most of these dresses will cost a MINIMUM of £20. I am sorry about this.

I will warn that I am currently very busy, I coming to the end of my masters degree and whilst I will endeavour to answer any questions it may take me a while. This also means that whilst I aim to send parcels all out within three days it may take longer, if you need a parcel quicker please let me know.

An update to my about me!

My name is Liz and I am the lady behind Advantage In Vintage. I have been trading in vintage since I was 17 and this has developed from a passion for all things old. My personal collection focuses on pieces from the 40s, 50s and 70s although I will quite often step outside this parameter when something has a particularly interesting print! I have what I believe to be the largest collection of Horrockses dresses (over 65 on the last count) and I also collect other key British read-to-wear brands of the 40s and 50s, with particular focus on Susan Small, Blanes, Alice Edwards, Sambo, Rhona Roy, California cottons and Vicor Josselyn although this list is by no means exhaustive (if you have any garments by these brands do feel free to contact me)! Via Advantage In Vintage I sell garments and accessories from Victorian to Modern. If I think it is interesting enough I will sell it!

I'm currently studying for a Masters in History of Design at the RCA and this acts as my fund for not only my cost of fees, but also enabling me to do more research. My current research is into the "Model House Group"- Again, if anyone has any more information do contact me.

I sell not only items from my own collection, but I also often sell for other people. Many items come from the collection of Naomi Thompson distinguished stylist and all round amazing lady of second-hand. Naomi is author of Style me vintage: Clothes and often items sold here will have been featured in her book.

Want to contact me? My email and phone number are listed in the "contact details" at the bottom of the page under "business seller information".

If you are interested in my collection visit advantage in vintage (ebay won't let me have a physical link) for more information or "like" my Advantage in Vintage page on facebook where I will also be putting up previews of some of the items coming up on ebay. Please note I also sell on etsy where my username is  AdvantageInVintage.

Depending on parcel weight parcels might be posted by courier (MyHermes) or Royal Mail second class recorded. Please note: I aim to send out parcels within 24hrs of payment, but if I have a particularly busy week (As well as uni I also have a part time job!) it may take up to 4 working days for an item to be posted. If the item you are purchasing sells for over £100 the item will be sent special delivery so please wait for an invoice.

I combine on postage. Please wait for an invoice. Most items are styled with petticoats underneath. These are not included in the sale.

Items may be pegged or pinned to mannequin to show fit more accurately.

Photographs may be lightened/ darkened to try and show garments to their best advantage, I will always try and mention if the colour in the pictures is not quire right.

Most of the items I sell are vintage, this means they will not be like new items and show some age, but where possible I will always mention this!

I will accept all types of payment inc. cheque and postal order, just let me know!  I expect payment within 5 days, if this will be a problem please ask, I don't mind waiting longer just so long as I know.

 I ship worldwide.

I do not accept returns unless goods are faulty. Returns are NOT accepted if garments do not fit. The buyer must pay return postage.

Good luck and happy bidding

Liz Tregenza

Please note I work hard to take all of the pictures you see here. I fully understand that people often buy from me with the intention to sell on but please DO NOT reuse my images (or copy my description) without asking. In most circumstances this is fine, but I would prefer to be asked first!!!
